NB3N201SDG Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The NB3N201SDG from ON Semiconductor is a 3.3V differential Multipoint Low Voltage (M-LVDS) line driver and receiver. It is TIA/EIA-899 compliant and supports signaling rates up to 200 Mbps.

This transceiver features Type-1 and Type-2 receivers capable of detecting bus states with as little as 50 mV of differential input voltage over a common-mode voltage range of -1 V to 3.4 V. Type-1 receivers have near-zero thresholds (±50 mV) and 25 mV of differential input voltage hysteresis to prevent output oscillations. Type-2 receivers include a 100 mV offset threshold to detect open-circuit and idle-bus conditions.

The NB3N201SDG supports simplex or half-duplex bus configurations. It is designed for applications such as low-power, high-speed, short-reach alternatives to TIA/EIA-485, backplane or cabled multipoint data and clock transmission, and cellular base stations.

Packaged in an 8-SOIC surface mount package, this device operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
