The NB100LVEP221MNRG from On Semiconductor is a low skew 2:1:20 differential clock driver. It is designed for clock distribution applications, accepting two clock sources into an input multiplexer. The device supports differential ECL/PECL inputs and can also receive HSTL signal levels on CLK1/CLK1. Its LVPECL input signals can be configured as differential or single-ended.
This clock driver guarantees low output-to-output skew, with a typical value of 15 ps, and device-to-device skew of 40 ps. It operates at frequencies greater than 1.0 GHz and features a typical propagation delay of 540 ps. The operating voltage range is 2.375 V to 3.8 V in LVPECL mode.
The NB100LVEP221MNRG is housed in a thermally enhanced 52-lead QFN package (8x8) with an exposed pad, suitable for surface mounting. It includes a VBB output, an internally generated voltage supply, which can be used for single-ended LVPECL input conditions or to re-bias AC coupled inputs.
This device is pin-compatible with the Motorola MC100EP221 and is RoHS compliant. It is ideal for high-performance clock distribution in systems requiring precise timing and low jitter.
