The 3M N7E50-N516RB-50-WF is a CompactFlash card header connector from the 7E50 series. It mates with both CompactFlash Type I and Type II cards and offers 50 positions in a single row surface mount configuration with right angle orientation and reverse bottom mounting feature. The connector includes board and card guides for accurate insertion.
Electrical specifications include a current rating of 0.5A, withstanding voltage of 500V AC for 1 minute, and insulation resistance of 10^3 Ω at 500V DC. The contact system uses copper alloy with a gold wiping area of 0.76μm (30μin) and matte tin solder tails. The insulator is made of high temperature thermoplastic with UL 94V-0 flammability rating and beige color.
Designed for automated assembly, the connector is available in tape and reel packaging (WF option) or standard white polystyrene tray. It has a height above board of 8.30mm (0.327") and is rated for operating temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. The process temperature maximum is 260°C per J-STD-020C, with MSL 1 classification.
This connector is suitable for embedded systems, industrial data storage, and portable devices requiring CompactFlash card connectivity. The extended guide rails enable easy card insertion, and optional ejector mechanisms are available separately.
