The 3M N10220-5212VC is a 20-position, 2-row, right-angle shielded receptacle connector from the 102 Series Mini D Ribbon (MDR) family. It features outer shroud contacts and a rugged die-cast zinc alloy body with nickel plating, ensuring reliable shielding and durability. The connector is designed for panel mount and through hole right-angle solder termination, with a contact pitch of 1.27 mm (0.050 inches). Gold-plated copper alloy contacts provide a minimum of 30 microinches of gold in the wiping area, with nickel underplating and gold flash on solder tails.

Electrically, the connector is rated for 1 A current and can withstand 500 VRMS for 1 minute. Insulation resistance exceeds 5 × 10^8 ohms at 500 VDC. The insulator is made of glass reinforced polyester (PCT) with a UL 94V-0 flammability rating, and the operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C. The connector is compatible with J-STD-020C soldering profiles up to 260°C.

The 102 Series MDR connectors feature a wiper-on-wiper contact design for reliable repetitive plugging, and a screw or ground lock for reliable PCB retention.
