The MXL7204-AYA-T is a complete dual 4A (5A peak) non-isolated Point-of-Load (PoL) DC/DC power module from Maxlinear. It integrates a switching controller, power FETs, inductors, and supporting components into a compact 144-BLGA package measuring 15.0mm x 15.0mm x 2.9mm. The module operates from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 20V and delivers two adjustable outputs from 0.6V to 5V, set by a single external resistor per channel.
Key electrical features include current mode control for fast transient response, an adjustable switching frequency from 250kHz to 780kHz (nominal 780kHz), and frequency synchronization capability. Protection features include overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), and overtemperature protection (OTP).
