The Analog Devices MXL1535EEWI+T is a full-duplex isolated RS-485/RS-422 transceiver designed for applications requiring high galvanic isolation between communication interfaces and control logic. It provides 2500VRMS of isolation, enabling reliable communication across large common-mode voltage differences.
This transceiver supports data rates up to 1000kbps (1Mbps) and features a 1/8 unit receiver load, allowing for up to 256 devices on a single bus. The device operates with a wide power supply voltage range of +3V to +5.5V for the MAX3535E variant and +4.5V to +5.5V for the MXL1535E. It includes features such as ±15kV ESD protection on the interface side, pin-selectable slew-rate limiting to minimize EMI, and true fail-safe circuitry.
The MXL1535EEWI+T is available in a 28-SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm Width) surface-mount package. Its design incorporates integrated high-voltage capacitors for isolation and a 420kHz transformer driver for power transfer across the isolation barrier.
