MXL101SF

The MaxLinear MXL101SF is an advanced DVB-T tuner and demodulator system-on-chip (SoC) designed for high-performance applications in television sets, PCTV, IPTV, and terrestrial set-top boxes (STBs).

This SoC family provides complete frequency coverage from 44 MHz to 1 GHz, delivering exceptional performance. The MxL1x1SF devices are engineered for low power consumption, typically around 450 mW, making them an ideal choice for power-sensitive designs. The product is available in a compact 7mm x 7mm QFN 48 package, offering a significant size reduction compared to competitive solutions.

The MxL101SF integrates MaxLinear's proven tuner cores and third-generation DVB-T demodulator technology. It also provides access to the IF output signal of the tuner, enabling hybrid implementations. The IF output frequency is software configurable, ensuring seamless integration with various demodulators on the market.

These highly integrated devices minimize the external Bill of Materials (BOM) to standard components, contributing to a cost-effective solution in high volumes. The MxL101SF also features a fully integrated loop-through function.
