The MURB1520 is an ultrafast rectifier diode designed by Vishay for high-frequency power conversion applications. It is rated for a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward current of 15A at a case temperature of 150°C. The device offers a reverse recovery time of 35ns maximum, which minimizes switching losses in high-speed circuits.
Forward voltage is specified at 1.05V maximum at 15A and 25°C, dropping to 0.85V at 150°C, contributing to improved efficiency. Reverse leakage current is 10µA at 25°C and 500µA at 150°C. The junction capacitance is 55pF at 200V, and the device can operate over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. Thermal resistance from junction to case is 1.5°C/W, allowing effective heat sinking.
The MURB1520 is housed in a TO-263AB (D2PAK) surface mount package. It is intended for use in output rectification of switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), DC-DC converters, UPS systems, and as a freewheeling diode in low-voltage inverters and motor drives.
