The MUR860 is a high-performance ultrafast rectifier diode manufactured by ON Semiconductor. It is designed for applications such as switching power supplies, inverters, and as free-wheeling diodes.
This rectifier diode boasts a reverse voltage rating of up to 600V and a continuous forward current rating of 8A. It features a fast recovery time of 60 ns, with ultrafast recovery times specified between 25 and 50 ns. The operating junction temperature range is from -65°C to 175°C, making it suitable for demanding environments.
The MUR860 is housed in a TO-220-2 package, designed for through-hole mounting. Its construction ensures corrosion resistance and readily solderable leads, with a lead temperature for soldering purposes of 260°C max for 10 seconds. The diode meets UL 94 V-0 standards for its epoxy material.
Key electrical characteristics include a low forward voltage drop of 1.5V at 8A and low leakage current. ESD ratings are also provided, with Machine Model C (>400V) and Human Body Model 3B (>16,000V). The device is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
