The MUR840 is a 400V, 8A fast recovery rectifier diode designed for switch-mode power supplies, inverters, and free-wheeling diode applications. This through-hole device is housed in a TO-220-2 package and offers a low forward voltage of 1.3V at 8A, contributing to high efficiency in power conversion circuits.
With a reverse recovery time of 60ns, the MUR840 enables fast switching performance, reducing switching losses in high-frequency circuits. The diode can operate over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C and features high surge current capability of 100A nonrepetitive. ESD protection is rated above 400V (Machine Model) and above 16,000V (Human Body Model).
