The MUR620CT is an ultrafast rectifier diode array from On Semiconductor, designed for switch-mode power supplies, inverters, and freewheeling applications. It features a common cathode configuration with two diodes in a single TO-220AB package. This device is rated for a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 200V and an average rectified forward current of 3A per diode leg (6A total device).
Key electrical characteristics include a typical forward voltage of 0.80V at 3A and 150°C, an ultrafast reverse recovery time of 35 ns maximum, and a low reverse leakage current of 5 µA maximum at 25°C. The device can handle non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 75A and operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C.
With its fast switching speed and low forward voltage drop, the MUR620CT is suitable for high-frequency rectification, output rectification in switching power supplies, and as a freewheeling diode in motor control circuits. The common cathode configuration simplifies PCB layout for center-tapped topologies.
The device is housed in a through-hole TO-220 package with a molded epoxy case and solderable leads. It is supplied on rails in quantities of 50 units. The junction-to-case thermal resistance is typically 5-6°C/W per diode leg.
