The MUR480ERLG is a SWITCHMODE power rectifier from On Semiconductor, part of the ultrafast "E" series. It is designed for use in switching power supplies, inverters, and as freewheeling diodes. The device features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 800V and an average rectified forward current of 4A. It offers a non-repetitive peak surge current of 70A and an avalanche energy rating of 20mJ, providing excellent protection against voltage transients in inductive load circuits.
The rectifier has an ultrafast recovery time of 75ns (typical at 1A, 50A/µs), which minimizes switching losses. Forward voltage is 1.85V maximum at 4A and 25°C. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 175°C, with a storage temperature range of the same. The device is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
The MUR480ERLG is supplied in an axial leaded DO-201AA/DO-27 package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It is available in tape and reel packaging with 1500 units per reel, or in bulk bags of 5000. The cathode is indicated by a polarity band.
