The MUR3040PT is an ultrafast dual diode array from ON Semiconductor, featuring a common cathode configuration. Each leg is rated for 15A average rectified forward current at TC=145°C, with a maximum reverse voltage of 400V. The device offers ultrafast recovery with a reverse recovery time of less than 55ns, minimizing switching losses and noise. Forward voltage is typically 1.25V at 15A. The diode is constructed using planar, silicon nitride passivated, ion-implanted, epitaxial technology, ensuring reliable performance. It is avalanche energy rated at 20mJ and can operate over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. The MUR3040PT is housed in a through-hole TO-218-3 package (JEDEC TO-218AC), also known as SOT-93. This diode array is suitable for switching power supplies, power switching circuits, and energy steering/clamping applications where soft recovery and low forward voltage drop are required.
