The MUR2100ERLG from ON Semiconductor is an ultrafast "E" series power rectifier featuring high reverse energy capability. Designed for applications such as switching power supplies, inverters, and free-wheeling diodes, this device boasts a 1000V repetitive peak reverse voltage and a 2A average rectified forward current.
Key electrical characteristics include a fast 100 nanosecond reverse recovery time and a guaranteed 20 millijoules avalanche energy, providing excellent protection against voltage transients in inductive load circuits. The maximum instantaneous forward voltage is 1.75V at 2A and 150°C junction temperature, and 2.20V at 2A and 25°C junction temperature.
This rectifier is housed in an axial lead DO-204AL (DO-41) package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates across a wide temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. The device is also noted as being Pb-Free.
Mechanical characteristics include an epoxy molded case weighing approximately 0.4 grams. All external surfaces are corrosion-resistant, and the terminal leads are readily solderable, with a lead temperature for soldering purposes of 260°C max for 10 seconds.
