The MUR1640CTG is a common cathode ultrafast recovery diode array from On Semiconductor, designed for use in switching power supplies, inverters, and freewheeling diode applications. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 400V and an average rectified forward current of 8A per leg (16A total). The reverse recovery time is a typical 60ns, making it suitable for high-frequency operation.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage drop of 1.3V at 8A and 25°C, reducing to 1.0V at 150°C. Reverse leakage current is a maximum of 10µA at 25°C and 500µA at 150°C. The device has an operating junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C.
The MUR1640CTG is packaged in a through-hole TO-220-3 (TO-220AB) case, which provides a junction-to-case thermal resistance of 3.0°C/W per leg. The device is Pb-Free and has solderable leads. It is part of the MUR16 series, which includes additional voltage ratings of 100V, 150V, 200V, and 600V.
