The MUR1540G is an ultrafast rectifier diode from ON Semiconductor's MUR15 series, designed for switch-mode power supplies, inverters, and freewheeling diodes. It offers a maximum average rectified current of 15A at a case temperature of 150°C and a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 400V.
Key electrical characteristics include a low forward voltage drop of 1.25V at 15A, a typical reverse recovery time of 60ns, and a maximum nonrepetitive peak surge current of 200A. The device is rated for operation over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C.
The diode is packaged in a TO-220-2 through-hole package with epoxy molded case and corrosion-resistant solderable leads. It weighs approximately 1.9g and has a thermal resistance junction-to-case of 1.5°C/W and junction-to-ambient of 73°C/W. The device is Pb-free and RoHS compliant (unverified).
