The MUR1520 from Vishay General Semiconductor - Diodes Division is a fast recovery rectifier diode rated for 200V peak repetitive reverse voltage and 15A average forward current. It is designed for use in switching power supplies, inverters, and freewheeling diode applications.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage of 1.05V at 15A, a reverse recovery time of 35ns, and a non-repetitive peak surge current of 200A. The device operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C and has a thermal resistance junction-to-case of 1.5°C/W.
The diode is housed in a TO-220AC through-hole package with an epoxy molded case and corrosion-resistant finish. ESD ratings are 3B (Human Body Model) and C (Machine Model). The device is Pb-free as stated in the datasheet.
