The MUR115 is a fast recovery rectifier diode from On Semiconductor's MUR120 series, designed for use in switching power supplies, inverters, and freewheeling diode applications. It has a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 150V and an average rectified forward current of 1A at 130°C ambient temperature. The diode exhibits a low forward voltage drop of 875 mV maximum at 1A and 25°C, decreasing to 710 mV at 150°C. Its reverse recovery time is 35 ns maximum (tested at IF=1A, di/dt=50 A/µs), enabling efficient high-frequency operation. The device can handle nonrepetitive peak surge currents up to 35A. The MUR115 is housed in a through-hole DO-204AL (DO-41) axial leaded package, with a molded epoxy case and cathode polarity band. It is Pb-free and RoHS compliant (unverified). The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 175°C. Typical applications include rectification in switch-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, and as freewheeling diodes in inductive load circuits.
