MT9V034C12STC-DP1 Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MT9V034C12STC-DP1 from On Semiconductor is a 1/3-inch Wide-VGA CMOS active-pixel digital image sensor. It is designed with a global shutter and high dynamic range (HDR) operation, making it suitable for demanding surveillance and various imaging applications in real-world environments.

This sensor utilizes advanced low-noise CMOS imaging technology to achieve CCD image quality while retaining the benefits of CMOS integration. The active imaging pixel array is 752 Horizontal by 480 Vertical. On-chip features include binning capabilities (2x2 and 4x4) to enhance sensitivity at lower resolutions, windowing, and mirroring functions. It is programmable via a simple two-wire serial interface.

The sensor offers an on-chip analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with 10-bit resolution per pixel, with an option for 12-bit resolution companded to 10 bits for improved digitization in darker areas. It supports both progressive and interlaced readout modes and has a shutter efficiency greater than 99%.

Designed for a wide operating temperature range of -30°C to 70°C, the MT9V034C12STC-DP1 is available in a CLCC48 package and is suitable for surface mount applications. It also features a serial low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) output and can operate in stereo-camera configurations.
