The onsemi MT9P031 is a 1/2.5-inch CMOS active-pixel digital image sensor with an active imaging pixel array of 2592 H x 1944 V. It incorporates sophisticated camera functions on-chip such as windowing, column and row skip mode, and snapshot mode, programmable through a simple two-wire serial interface.

 

This 5 Mp CMOS image sensor features onsemi’s breakthrough low-noise CMOS imaging technology that achieves CCD image quality while maintaining the inherent size, cost, and integration advantages of CMOS. Key performance parameters include a maximum data rate of 96 Mp/s, frame rates up to 14 fps at full resolution and 53 fps in HDTV mode, and a 12-bit on-chip ADC resolution. It operates with I/O voltages from 1.7V to 3.1V, digital voltages from 1.7V to 1.9V, and analog voltages from 2.6V to 3.1V.

 

The sensor is supplied in a 48-pin iLCC package. It is designed for applications such as high-resolution network cameras, wide FOV cameras, and hybrid video cameras requiring high-resolution stills. The operating temperature range is -30°C to +70°C.
