The MT90820AL1 from Microchip Technology is a large digital switch IC with a non-blocking switch capacity of 2,048 x 2,048 channels at a serial bit rate of 8.192 Mb/s. It also supports 1,024 x 1,024 channels at 4.096 Mb/s and 512 x 512 channels at 2.048 Mb/s.
This device features per-channel variable or constant throughput delay, automatic identification of ST-BUS/GCI interfaces, and accepts ST-BUS streams at various rates. It includes automatic frame offset delay measurement and per-stream frame delay offset programming. High impedance output control and message mode are also available on a per-channel basis.
The MT90820AL1 is compatible with Motorola non-multiplexed CPUs and supports connection memory block programming. It also features an IEEE 1149.1 (JTAG) test port.
