The MS3108R20-27S is a circular connector plug from ITT Cannon designed to meet MIL-C-5015 performance requirements. It features 14 female socket contacts in a shell size 20-27 with an aluminum alloy shell finished in olive drab cadmium for corrosion resistance. The contacts are machined and silver-plated, with solder cup termination for reliable wire connections. The connector uses a threaded coupling mechanism and offers free-hanging (in-line) right-angle mounting.
Electrically, it is rated for 22A per contact at 500VAC or 700VDC, with a dielectric withstanding voltage of 2000V RMS (test condition). Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to 125°C. The insulator is high-strength plastic, and the connector accommodates wire gauges from 0 to 20 AWG. It is designed for a minimum of 500 mating cycles.
Typical applications include industrial controls, test equipment, traffic signals, and bus systems. The connector is UL recognized. Note that the olive drab cadmium finish may not be RoHS compliant; a black zinc RoHS-compliant version is also available from the manufacturer.
