The MR851RLG from On Semiconductor is a fast recovery rectifier designed for high-efficiency applications such as DC power supplies, inverters, converters, and free wheeling diodes. It is rated for a maximum reverse voltage (VRRM) of 100V and an average rectified forward current of 3A at 80°C ambient. The forward voltage is 1.25V maximum at 3A, with a typical value of 1.04V. The device offers a typical reverse recovery time of 100 ns, enabling operation at frequencies up to 250 kHz.
The rectifier is housed in a DO-201AA (axial lead) through-hole package, with a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 28°C/W and junction-to-lead thermal resistance of 5.5°C/W. It can withstand non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 100A. The part is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant, and it is available in tape and reel packaging (1200 per reel). The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 125°C.
