The MR826 is a fast recovery rectifier diode from Diotec Semiconductor. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 600V and an average forward rectified current of 5A. The diode features a maximum reverse recovery time of 300ns, making it suitable for medium frequency rectification applications.
At a forward current of 5A and 25°C, the maximum forward voltage is 1.2V. The leakage current at rated voltage is 10µA. The device can handle peak forward surge currents up to 300A (50Hz) and 330A (60Hz). Junction capacitance is typically 15pF at 4V reverse bias. The maximum junction temperature is 150°C, with a storage temperature range of -50°C to 175°C. Thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 16K/W typical, and junction to leads is 5K/W typical.
The MR826 is housed in a P600 axial through-hole package, weighing approximately 1.7g. The case material is UL 94V-0 rated. Solder and assembly conditions are 260°C for 10 seconds. The diode is RoHS compliant with exemption 7a, REACH declarable, and conflict minerals compliant. It is not lead free or halogen free.
Typical applications include rectification of medium frequencies, snubber circuits, and bootstrap diodes in power supplies and converters. The MR826 is part of the MR820-MR828 family and is classified as commercial/industrial grade.
