The MR756 is a high current lead mounted rectifier from ON Semiconductor, part of the MR750 series. It is designed for standard recovery applications with a maximum reverse voltage of 600V and an average rectified forward current of 6A when mounted on a PC board at 60°C, or 22A with 1/8 inch lead lengths at 60°C.
The device offers a non-repetitive peak surge current of 400A, making it suitable for applications with high inrush currents. Forward voltage is 0.9V at 6A and 1.25V at 100A. Reverse current is 25µA at 25°C and 1.0mA at 100°C.
The MR756 is housed in a Microde Button package with axial leads, designed for through-hole mounting. The case is epoxy molded and weighs approximately 2.5 grams. It features a cathode polarity band and can withstand lead soldering temperatures up to 260°C for 10 seconds. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 175°C.
