The MR752 is a standard recovery silicon rectifier diode from On Semiconductor, part of the MR750 series. It is designed for high current lead-mounted applications and offers a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 200V. The device can handle an average rectified forward current of 6A when board-mounted at 60°C, or 22A with 1/8 inch lead lengths at 60°C. It features a very high surge capacity of 400A non-repetitive peak surge current for 1 cycle.
The forward voltage drop is 0.9V maximum at 6A and 25°C. Reverse current is 25 µA at rated DC voltage and 25°C, and 1 mA at 100°C. The junction operating temperature range is -65°C to 175°C. The diode is available in an axial lead Microde Button package, which is through-hole mountable and epoxy molded with a cathode polarity band.
This rectifier is suitable for general purpose power supply rectification, freewheeling, and snubber circuits where high surge tolerance is required.
