MPY634KP

The Texas Instruments MPY634KP is a precision analog multiplier designed for wide bandwidth applications. It operates as a four-quadrant multiplier, offering high accuracy with a typical bandwidth of 10MHz and a maximum accuracy of ±0.5%.

This device simplifies design by integrating an internal wide-bandwidth op-amp, reducing the need for external trimming components. Its differential X, Y, and Z inputs allow for flexible configuration as a multiplier, squarer, divider, or square-rooter, maintaining high precision across these functions. The internal output amplifier and voltage reference contribute to design simplicity and precise scale factor setting.

The MPY634KP is suitable for signal processing at IF, RF, and video frequencies. It can perform frequency mixing, balanced modulation, and demodulation with excellent carrier rejection. The differential Z input allows for user-selected scale factors ranging from 0.1 to 10 using external feedback resistors.
