The MPQ8634AGLE-Z from Monolithic Power Systems is a fully integrated, high-frequency, synchronous buck converter designed for compact and efficient power solutions. It delivers up to 12A of output current with excellent load and line regulation across a wide input supply range of 4V to 16V.
This device utilizes an internally compensated constant-on-time (COT) control mode, providing fast transient response and simplifying loop stabilization. The switching frequency is programmable, selectable from 600kHz, 800kHz, or 1000kHz, allowing for constant frequency operation regardless of input/output voltage variations. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.9V up to 6V.
Key features include differential output voltage remote sense, programmable current limit, and integrated low R DS(ON) power MOSFETs. Protection features such as over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP) are also integrated. The MPQ8634AGLE-Z is available in a 21-QFN (3mmx4mm) package, suitable for surface mounting.
