The Bourns MOV-14D431K is a 14 mm diameter metal oxide varistor (MOV) designed for overvoltage transient protection in AC and DC power circuits. It offers a nominal varistor voltage of 430V at 1 mA DC, with a maximum continuous AC voltage rating of 275V and maximum continuous DC voltage rating of 350V.
This varistor can handle peak surge currents up to 4.5 kA (8/20 μs waveform) and absorb up to 115 J of energy. Its clamping voltage is 710V maximum at 50 A, and it responds to transients within 10 to 25 ns. The device operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
