The Samtec MODM-B-02-8P8C-L-S4 is a 2 port 8P8C (RJ45, Ethernet) modular jack from the MODM-B series. It is designed for through hole mounting with a 90° right angle orientation, making it suitable for edge-card or mezzanine PCB layouts where space is constrained.
The connector features a shielded design with an EMI finger for enhanced electromagnetic interference protection. It includes a board lock for secure attachment to the PCB during soldering. The housing is made of PBT glass filled material, the contacts are phosphor bronze with 15µ" gold plating on the mating area and gold flash on the tails, and the shield is copper alloy.
This jack is rated for Cat3 performance, with a maximum current rating of 1.5 A per contact and a maximum voltage rating of 120 VAC. It has a contact resistance of 20 mΩ maximum and is rated for a minimum of 500 mating cycles. The operating temperature range is -25°C to +90°C.
