The MMSZ5221BT1G is a Zener voltage regulator diode from ON Semiconductor, part of the MMSZ52xxxT1G series. It offers a nominal Zener voltage of 2.4V with a tolerance of ±5% and a maximum power dissipation of 500mW on FR-4 or FR-5 boards. The device features a typical forward voltage of 900mV at 10mA, a maximum reverse leakage current of 100µA at 1V, and a maximum Zener impedance of 30Ω.
Designed for general purpose voltage regulation and clamping applications, the MMSZ5221BT1G operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. It has a thermal resistance of 340°C/W junction-to-ambient and 150°C/W junction-to-lead. The diode is ESD rated Class 3 (>16kV) per the Human Body Model and meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
The device is housed in a surface mount SOD-123 package with gull wing terminations, optimized for automated assembly.
