This sensor features an I2C slave interface with FAST mode operation (up to 400 KHz) and can be directly connected to a microprocessor, eliminating the need for external A/D converters. It supports a wide power supply range of 1.62V to 3.6V. The device includes on-chip signal processing, on-chip sensitivity compensation, and a SET/RESET function to eliminate temperature-induced offset errors and residual magnetization.

 

Packaged in an ultra-small 12-WFBGA (1.6x1.6x0.6 mm) with surface mount, the MMC34160PJ operates from -40°C to 85°C. Its low power consumption (140 µA @ 7 Hz) and a 1 µA power-down function make it suitable for power-sensitive applications. The maximum output data rate is 800 Hz in 12-bit mode.
