The MMBZ6V8ALT1G is a dual monolithic silicon Zener diode from the MMBZxxxALT1G series by ON Semiconductor. It is designed for transient overvoltage protection in voltage and ESD sensitive equipment. The device features two separate unidirectional configurations or a single bidirectional configuration within a single SOT-23-3 package.
The device has a reverse standoff voltage of 4.5V and a maximum clamping voltage of 9.6V at its peak pulse current of 2.5A. Peak pulse power is rated at 24W for a 1.0ms pulse. It is rated for ESD protection: Class 3B (>16kV) HBM, Class C (>400V) MM, and IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 (±30kV contact discharge).
The component is surface mount in a SOT-23-3 (TO-236) package with gull wing leads. Power dissipation is 225mW on an FR-5 board and 300mW on an alumina substrate. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. The device is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant per the datasheet.
