The MMBZ27VCWT3G is a 40 watt peak power Zener surge protection device from On Semiconductor. It is designed for transient overvoltage protection in voltage and ESD sensitive equipment.
It features a working peak reverse voltage of 22 V and a standard Zener breakdown voltage of 27 V. The device offers a clamping voltage of 38 V and can handle a peak pulse current of 1 A. It has an ESD rating exceeding 16 kV per the Human Body Model (Class N). Leakage current is less than 100 nA.
The dual junction common cathode design allows protection of two separate lines using a single SC-70 package. It can be configured as two unidirectional channels or one bidirectional channel. Applications include CAN bus protection, computers, printers, business machines, communication systems, and medical equipment.
The device is surface mount in an SC-70-3 (SOT-323) package. It is Pb-Free, Halogen Free/BFR Free, and RoHS3 compliant. Flammability rating is UL 94 V-0. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
