The MMBZ20VALT1G is a dual monolithic silicon Zener diode from On Semiconductor designed for transient overvoltage protection. It features a nominal breakdown voltage of 20V and a maximum clamping voltage of 28V at 1.4A peak pulse current. The device can handle 40W peak power dissipation for 1.0ms pulses, making it suitable for ESD protection and voltage clamping in sensitive electronic equipment.
This TVS diode provides ESD protection exceeding ±30kV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2, and is rated for Class 3B (>16kV) HBM and Class C (>400V) MM. The dual junction common anode design allows protection of two separate lines using a single SOT-23-3 package, ideal for space-constrained applications.
The device is housed in a surface-mount SOT-23-3 (TO-236) package with gull wing leads, suitable for automated assembly. It is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant, with a flammability rating of UL 94 V-0. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
