The MMA7341LCT is a low-power, low-profile, micromachined accelerometer from NXP Semiconductors. It offers selectable sensitivities of ±3g and ±9g, making it versatile for various motion sensing applications. The device features signal conditioning with a 1-pole low-pass filter, temperature compensation, and a self-test function for diagnosis.
With a low current consumption of 400 μA and a sleep mode consuming only 3 μA, it is ideal for handheld, battery-powered electronics. The MMA7341LCT operates over a voltage range of 2.2V to 3.6V and has a fast turn-on time of 0.5 ms. Its bandwidth is 400Hz for the X and Y axes and 300Hz for the Z axis.
The accelerometer is housed in a compact 3mm x 5mm x 1.0mm LGA-14 package, suitable for surface mounting. Typical applications include 3D gaming, freefall detection in MP3 players and laptops, image stability in cell phones, and motion sensing in pedometers and robotics.
