The NXP Semiconductors MMA6856BKCWR2 is a SPI-based, single-axis, medium-g, over-damped lateral accelerometer. It is designed for use in automotive airbag systems and offers a full-scale range of ±60g. The device supports a supply voltage range of 3.135V to 5.25V and features a SPI-compatible serial interface with 10-bit digital signed or unsigned SPI data output.
This accelerometer includes programmable arming functions and 12 low-pass filter options, ranging from 50 Hz to 1000 Hz. It also offers optional offset cancellation with an averaging period greater than 6 seconds and a slew rate less than 0.25 LSB/s. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 105°C.
