MM74HC4514WMX

The MM74HC4514WMX is a 4-to-16 line decoder with an integrated 4-bit latch, manufactured by On Semiconductor. This advanced silicon-gate CMOS device is suitable for memory address decoding or data routing applications. It features high noise immunity and low power dissipation, with speeds comparable to low power Schottky TTL circuits. The decoder can drive up to 10 LS-TTL loads.

The latch functionality allows a selected output to remain HIGH even if the select inputs change. The outputs change with the inputs when the LATCH ENABLE input is HIGH. When LATCH ENABLE goes LOW, the data on the select inputs is stored. The four select inputs determine which output goes HIGH, provided the INHIBIT input is LOW. If the INHIBIT input is HIGH, all outputs are held LOW, disabling the decoder.

This component operates within a voltage range of 2V to 6V and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It is supplied in a 24-SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm Width) surface mount package. The typical propagation delay is 18 ns, with a low quiescent current of 80 µA maximum and a low input current of 1 µA maximum.
