The MM74HC4060N is a high-speed, 14-stage binary ripple carry counter manufactured by On Semiconductor using advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology. It offers the speed performance of LS-TTL logic while retaining the low power consumption and high noise immunity characteristic of CMOS devices.
This counter increments on the negative transition of the input clock. All outputs can be reset to a low level by applying a logical high to the reset input. The MM74HC4060N also includes two additional inputs that facilitate easy connection of either an RC or crystal oscillator, making it versatile for various timing applications. It is pin-equivalent to the CD4060.
Key electrical specifications include a typical propagation delay of 16 ns, a wide operating voltage range of 2V to 6V, and a maximum count rate of 30 MHz. The device requires low input current (1 μA maximum) and low quiescent current (80 μA maximum). Its output drive capability is rated at 10 LS-TTL loads.
The MM74HC4060N is supplied in a 16-lead PDIP package suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
