The MM5Z20VT5G is a 20V Zener diode from On Semiconductor, part of the MM5ZxxxT1G series of voltage regulators. It offers a nominal Zener voltage of 20V with ±6% tolerance and a maximum power dissipation of 500mW. Key electrical characteristics include a typical forward voltage of 900mV at 10mA, a maximum reverse leakage current of 50nA at 14V, and a maximum Zener impedance of 55Ω.
Designed for voltage regulation and protection, this diode is well-suited for space-constrained applications such as cellular phones, handheld portables, and high-density PC boards. The SOD-523 surface mount package measures only 1.2mm x 0.8mm with a low profile of 0.7mm. It is qualified for MSL 1 (unlimited) with a maximum reflow temperature of 260°C and features an ESD rating of over 16kV per Human Body Model.
The device is RoHS3 compliant and Pb-Free with 100% matte tin (Sn) lead finish. Operating temperature range spans -65°C to 150°C junction temperature. Thermal resistance (junction-to-ambient) is 250°C/W on FR-4 board with 1cm² pad. Standard packaging is tape and reel with 8000 units per reel.
