The MLX90371GGO-BCC-300-RE from Melexis is a Triaxis® Position Processor utilizing Hall technology for robust absolute position sensing. It features on-chip signal processing and a 12-bit resolution with 10-bit thermal accuracy.
This sensor is capable of measuring rotary position from 0 to 360 degrees or linear displacement. It provides selectable analog (ratiometric) or PWM output signals and is programmable for various transfer characteristics. The operating voltage range is 4.5V to 5.5V, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 160°C.
Designed for surface mounting, the MLX90371GGO-BCC-300-RE comes in a 16-TSSOP package. It requires an external magnet, which is not included, to decode the absolute position of a moving magnet. Its applications include pedal position sensors, throttle position sensors, and ride height position sensors.
