The Melexis MLX90365LGO-ABD-000-RE is a Triaxis® Hall Technology based position sensor IC designed for absolute rotary and linear measurements. It utilizes a simple magnetic design and offers programmable transfer characteristics.
This sensor IC provides selectable output modes, including ratiometric analog voltage and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). It features 12-bit resolution and 10-bit thermal accuracy, ensuring precise position detection. The device includes built-in diagnostics for open/short circuits and over/under-voltage protection.
Designed for surface mounting, the MLX90365LGO-ABD-000-RE comes in a 16-TSSOP package with gull wing termination. It requires an external magnet, which is not included, to decode position. The operating voltage range is 4.5V to 5.5V, and it operates reliably within an automotive temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
Applications include pedal position, steering wheel position, throttle position, float-level sensing, and ride height sensing, making it suitable for both automotive and industrial non-contacting position sensing requirements.
