The Melexis MLX90316KGO-BDG-100-RE is an absolute rotary position sensor IC utilizing Triaxis® Hall Effect technology. It provides contactless measurement of a magnet's angular position over a full 360-degree range.
Key electrical specifications include an operating voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V and an SPI output for digital data transfer. The sensor offers a linearity of ±1° and operates across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
Designed for surface mounting with a Gull Wing termination style, this sensor is packaged in a 16-TSSOP. It requires an external magnet, which is not included, to detect the horizontal component of the magnetic flux density for position sensing. The programmable transfer characteristic and selectable output protocols enhance its application flexibility.
