The ML6554CUX by ON Semiconductor is a versatile 3A Bus Termination Regulator. It is designed to generate termination voltages for high-speed logic standards such as DDR SDRAM, GTL+, Rambus, VME, LV-TTL, HSTL, and PECL. This regulator can source and sink up to 3A without requiring a heat sink, thanks to its integrated power MOSFETs.
The device operates with an input voltage range from 2.3V to 4V and features a switching frequency of 650kHz. It offers two output configurations and can operate in two modes: default mode where the output is 50% of VCCQ, or a user-defined mode by forcing a voltage on the VREF IN pin. The output voltage regulation is within ±3% at 3A.
Designed for surface mounting, the ML6554CUX comes in a 16-SOIC package with an exposed pad for enhanced thermal conductivity. It includes features like shutdown for standby mode and thermal shutdown protection. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C (TA).
