The NXP Semiconductors MKL36Z256VMP4 is an efficient, entry-level 32-bit microcontroller from the Kinetis KL36 sub-family. It features an ARM Cortex-M0+ core running at up to 48 MHz, providing industry-leading throughput with ultra-low power consumption.

This MCU is designed for efficiency, offering run power consumption down to 50 μA/MHz and static power consumption as low as 2 μA with full state retention. It includes 256 KB of program flash memory and 32 KB of SRAM. The energy-saving architecture utilizes 90 nm TFS technology, clock and power gating, and a zero wait state flash memory controller.

Key peripherals include a 16-bit SAR ADC, 12-bit DAC, segment LCD controller, touch sensing interface (TSI), multiple communication interfaces (SPI, I2S, UART, I2C), and various timers. It operates within a voltage range of 1.71V to 3.6V and has an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.
