The MIC94061YMT-TR from Microchip Technology is a high-side load switch suitable for various portable applications. It features a wide input voltage range of 1.7V to 5.5V, making it compatible with 1-cell Lithium-ion and 2- to 3-cell NiMH/NiCad/Alkaline powered systems, as well as 5V applications.
This load switch offers a continuous operating current of 2A and a low typical on-resistance of 77 mΩ. It includes built-in level shift circuitry, allowing low voltage logic signals to control higher supply voltages, or vice versa. The MIC94061YMT-TR also features an active load discharge circuit, ensuring capacitive loads retain no charge when the main switch is off.
Designed for space-saving, the MIC94061YMT-TR comes in a compact 1.2 mm x 1.6 mm UDFN package. Its low quiescent current of 2 μA and micropower shutdown current of less than 1 μA help maximize battery life in power-sensitive applications.
Key applications include load switching in cellular phones, PDAs, MP3 players, digital cameras, portable instrumentation, battery switch-over circuits, and level translation.
