The MIC5311-NNYML-TR is a high-performance, dual µCap low dropout (LDO) regulator from Microchip Technology. Each regulator can source up to 300mA of output current, making it suitable for battery-operated applications. It offers a fixed output voltage of 2.85V and operates with an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V.
Key electrical specifications include a low dropout voltage of 0.24V at 300mA and ultra-low quiescent current, typically 28µA total in full current mode. It also features a LowQ™ mode that reduces quiescent current to 7µA total while supporting 10mA output. The regulator provides ±1.0% initial accuracy and is stable with small ceramic output capacitors.
Designed for space-constrained applications, the MIC5311-NNYML-TR is available in a compact 3mm x 3mm 10-MLF® package. It includes protection features such as over-current and over-temperature shutdown. The device also has an enable pin for logic-level control.
This LDO regulator is ideal for applications such as cellular phones, wireless modems, PDAs, and MP3 players where low power consumption and small size are critical.
