The MIC5303-2.85YMT-TR from Microchip Technology is an ultra-small, ultra-low dropout (ULDO) CMOS linear voltage regulator. It is designed for demanding portable applications where board space is limited, such as mobile phones, PDAs, and camera modules.
This regulator operates from a 2.3V to 5.5V input and delivers a guaranteed 300mA output current with a fixed 2.85V output voltage. It features a low dropout voltage of 0.2V at 300mA, very low output noise (120µVrms), and high output accuracy (±2% initial). The device also includes thermal shutdown and current limit protection.
The MIC5303-2.85YMT-TR is available in an ultra-small 4-pin 1.2mm x 1.6mm Thin MLF® package, occupying only 1.92mm² of PCB area. This surface-mount package is ideal for space-constrained designs. The operating junction temperature range is -40°C to +125°C.
