The MIC5015YN from Microchip Technology is a single-channel, inverting MOSFET driver designed for controlling N-channel enhancement-mode power MOSFETs. It supports both high-side and low-side configurations and operates over a wide supply voltage range of 2.75V to 30V.
Key features include an internal charge pump to sustain gate voltage, TTL-compatible input, and protection against automotive transients such as load dump, reverse battery, and inductive spikes down to -20V. An overvoltage shutdown feature protects the load at approximately 35V. The driver is suitable for applications like automotive electrical load control, battery-powered computer power management, lamp control, heater control, motor control, and power bus switching.
This device is available in an 8-pin PDIP package and is designed for through-hole mounting. It offers a typical off-state current of 15µA and a maximum supply current of 100µA at a 5V supply.
