The MIC49500WR-TR is a 5A dual supply, low voltage, high bandwidth LDO voltage regulator manufactured by MIC. It is designed for powering core voltages of low-voltage microprocessors, offering very low output impedance and fast transient response.
The regulator supports an input voltage range from 1.4V to 6V for the main supply and 3.0V to 6V for the bias supply. It can regulate output voltages as low as 0.7V, making it suitable for low-voltage to low-voltage conversions. The device features an ultra-fast transient response with up to 10MHz bandwidth and excellent line and load regulation.
Available in S-Pak-7 and TO-263 packages, the MIC49500WR-TR operates across a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. It requires a minimum output capacitance for stability and works optimally with various capacitor types, including ceramic capacitors. The device also includes logic-controlled shutdown, thermal shutdown, and current limit protection.
Applications for this regulator include ASIC core voltage regulation, PLD/FPGA core power supplies, and linear point-of-load conversion.
The main input supply (VIN) operates from 1.4V to 6V, and the bias supply (VBIAS) requires between 3.0V and 6V.
The MIC49500WR-TR can provide a maximum output current of 5A.
The adjustable output voltage can be regulated down to 0.7V.
The device is rated for a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
The MIC49500WR-TR is available in both 7-pin S-Pak and TO-263 packages.
